Fr.
Allen Duston was ordained a priest of the Dominican Order 33 years
ago. His first assignment was as the Director of Pastoral Care at
Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Oregon. Following his three years
in Eugene he went to Rome to study for his doctorate degree in Canon
Law.
He
returned to the Western Province and held the position of Vicar
Provincial, and President of the Dominican School of Philosophy and
Theology. In 1994, he was asked to take the position of Director of
Development of the Vatican Museums. He returned to Blessed
Sacrament Priory in Seattle, WA in 2007 and is presently assigned to
St. Dominic’s Priory and serves as the new Director of the St. Jude
Shrine.
