Masses

It is a common practice in the Catholic Church to have the Sacrifice of the Mass offered for those who are deceased, for those who are ill, for special intentions or for special occasions.

The Dominican Fathers are willing to offer such Masses at the Shrine of Saint Jude upon receipt of your request. The amount of the offering for any Mass is left to your generosity, unless a special date, or special type of Mass is requested.

When the request for any Mass or Masses is received at the Shrine, it is immediately acknowledged and the client can be assured that the Mass or Masses will be said promptly. If after a reasonable time no acknowledgment is received, it is an indication that the request failed to reach the Shrine. An inquiry should then be sent to the Shrine.

Saint Jude Oil

Saint Jude Oil is a sacramental of the Church. In the Church's Book of Blessings there is a special blessing for the pure oil of olives. This blessing beseeches God to aid those who use the oil by protecting them from the deceits and tricks of the devil, and by bringing to them health of both mind and body. This oil is blessed with the relic of Saint Jude. An offering of $2.00 is suggested.

    In this series, Fr. Tony preaches about the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the life of her Divine Son and the ramifications of this for the everyday life of the Christian.  He illuminates the significance of Mary's life for us.
