Fr. Vincent Kelber, OP, serving in the Byzantine Rite

Please welcome our new Director of the Shrine of St. Jude!

The Provincial Chapter for the Dominican Province of the Holy Name of Jesus has named Fr. Vincent Kelber, OP, as the new Director of the Shrine of St. Jude, to be effective by the end of February. Fr. Vincent comes to us from Portland, where he commendably served as Pastor.

A Dominican with a great love for liturgy, he is a bi-ritual priest (also Byzantine Rite), and a classmate of Fr. Michael Hurley, OP, the pastor at St. Dominic’s.

Our current Director, Fr. Dismas Sayre, OP, will transfer to Holy Family Cathedral in Anchorage, Alaska, where he expects to minister especially to the Spanish-speaking populations in the city and all over Alaska. There is a very great need in that most spacious state that needs his skills! We know he will carry the message of St. Jude north.

Please pray for our Directors, coming and going, that they may serve the people of God well.
